Weak in the Knees

Before parenthood, I was a regular movie-goer. I can still remember the layout of the movie theater where my mom used to take me to see all of the super groovy 1970's Disney releases like Escape to Witch Mountain and The Shaggy D.A.--and we haven't lived in that state since 1984. All of the sudden I have three kids, and I'm not the best at remembering to hire a babysitter, so my watching a movie on the big screen has been rare for the past five or six years.

Last week, we had a new 52" flat-screen (LCD? plasma? I admit to being a girl in that I forget which one we went with) installed at home. Surround sound. PS3 with the Blu-Ray player. Some sub-woofers and receivers and forty two remotes. I don't know. It seemed like a good idea, but it became quickly apparent that I would never watch anything on this thing as I live with four males.

But tonight? Tonight I insisted that we try out the Blu-Ray. I picked up a copy of the new Casino Royale this week and I wanted to see what it would be like. You know. Bond. Blu-Ray. It was a good choice, no?

Holy Mother of Deep Discount Designer Shoes!!!

Daniel Craig?! Those eyes?! That body?! On a giant screen! In my house! On disc I own! To salivate over whenever I want.

I feel faint.

I'd like to take a moment to personally thank my children from preventing me from seeing my beloved movies for so long, because now I have tons of options to choose from on Netflix and the perfect home theater to watch them on--though I think for a while I'll just keep turning on Daniel (heh. Don't I wish?!).

OK, you like Daniel Craig. But how was the movie? Or did it not matter?

How funny! We watched Casino Royale as the first movie on our big HD flat screen whatever details TV with all the geegaws my husband set up.

It was hot.

But...the movie really disappointed me.

I got over it. Eye candy. :)

Daniel Craig sizzles. BTW, Escape to Witch Mountain was one of my favorite movies EVER.

I did just watch it recently; not so good when you're in your 40's.

I'm afraid if I put a 52" screen TV in my living room you'd always find me big-bellied, in a recliner, with one hand down my pants and the other holding the remote.

But no doubt Daniel Craig would look yummy!

At some point, just send all of the boys on sleep overs with various friends. And you and the honey can cuddle up and enjoy a flick. And eat ice cream!

Or chase the hubby out of the house too. Its all good. :-)

Congrats on the newest addition to the family.

P.s. Marc was out of town for 6 days. Last night when he walked through the door, he kissed me, and then hugged the tv and said, "Oh how I missed you!" He was finally united with his one true love. :-)

I looooved Daniel Craig in Casino Royale. I had no idea he was so delicious. We got our TV a couple of years ago and I had to admit it was cooooler to watch things that much louder and larger. I watched Transformers on it the other night, and it was sooooo cool. (When men come over the first thing they comment on is our ridiculous TV.)

Daniel Craig is the eighth wonder of the world. I can only imagine that he'd look 52 times better in 52 inches.
