I Have Questions

Two questions remain unanswered from our recent trip...

1. Why don't you ever see baby pigeons? Lots o pigeons in NOLA all full-sized.

2. Apparently dacshunds are THE dog of choice in NOLA now. We saw them everywhere. But does it really makes sense in a city (hurricanes aside) that floods easily to have dogs with such short legs?

I'm just asking...

LMAO.. I don't know the answers to your questions, but the questions themselves had me laughing my ass off.

I know why you don't see dying pigeons, but not babies. If only they weren't procreating.

Let's hope those weenie dogs know how to swim!

1. I think you have to look very closely. Their larvae are very small.

2. LOL! I hope they float.

You dont see baby pigeons, because pigeons are dropped on earth full sized from the evil planet, Birddrophell. Same goes for rats, but their planet is, Rabiesgivingvermin.

I dont know what you speak of about these weenie dogs. I think people use them as foot stools and discovered they are actually alive.

They probably swim well, since it seems all the rats survived from the hurricane. Hey, maybe they are mutant rats that people thought were dogs and have taken them in.

Either way I am blaming everything on Katrina, including my PMS. The only benefit to the hurricane.

Very insightful questions! However you know well that New Orleans is not famous for doing things that make sense!

Maybe weinie dogs float....just a thought!

Well, most baby birds hatch in late spring or early summer. So at this point, they're prolly either still eggs or little helpless yawping things.

As far as weenie dogs go---they might be cute, but they are damn ferocious sons of bitches when called for. They are notorious ratters.

No doubt with the floods, the rat population abandoned the sewers and came aboveground. Maybe folks are buying weenie dogs for ankle protection. LOL

Never underestimate the power of a little dog. I read an article a few years ago about a couple who left their sleeping newborn in one of those mesh-sided playpens in thier living room.

Thier very jealous weenie-dog chewed through the mesh, dragged the baby out by it's head and seriously mauled it.

Ok, ok, I know! TMI!

LOL on the dachshund thing! You're so right about the short legs in a flood plain. I'd have a weimeraner or a greyhound, at least, just for the leg length.

Is it because the mother does her business on the baby when it pops out. I've heard pigeons have very acidic poo, which is why their feet are always mangled up.

But then, I'm gullible, and that might be a lie.
